Wacky Winter Wear

Style

It’s that time of the year where there’s a chill in the air. You look in your wardrobe, scratch your head. “I want to be fashionable, but the clothes that keep me warm are boring.” Never fear. I’m going to share with you a few winter month must-haves to stop you from thinking like this….

When you have your jumper and trousers, you’re going to need more to spruce up your wardrobe.

My first grab-and-go accessory are my leather gloves. I copied Rebecca Bloomswood with the colour of mine (If you haven’t yet, you must check out ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic.’) Mine are teal blue, but any bright colours are good!

The second item? Has to be the winter coat, and whether that’s a vintage look, or if you’re more into modern chic, a cosy, woolen coat ticks all the boxes. Look in charity shops for ideas. I favour the military style. Find your voice in the outfits you choose.

Thirdly, as the ‘piece du resistance’ I’d suggest boots. Ankle boots are the way forward. Ditch the trainers except for long walks! My favourite boots are my Jasper Conrans, (Bought in the sale!) Again, if you want a look that shouts, I’d say to have a pop of colour in your footwear too.

As a fourth addition, I would recommend a hat. Dependent on style for the day, I often wear a beret or trilby. It all hangs on what you like. Personally, I wouldn’t be seen dead with the kind of hat Kevin wears in ‘Home Alone’, but for some, this might be just what you love! Be yourself.

Hope this has helped.
