My #1linewed on the 24th March :) The Evening Tweets

Writing

As promised, here is the #1linewed evening tweets (part two!)

I didn’t mention this before, but the theme for this Wednesday was ‘circular, or round….’

Here we go

Life on Mars

Ray slammed his pint onto the bar. “Why are we waiting for Tyler?”, he mocked. “We might as well just tell him to not bother comin’ to the pub!”

“…. but then I’d miss your welcoming face, Ray,” Sam said, materialising into view. “I needed to come round….”

“Guv,” said Sam, “I need to tell you something….”

“If you’re about to say you’re a flamin pansy, we already know,” The Guv replied, sharing a look with Ray, who chewed gum, standing ominously in the shadows, “Are we right?”

Sam glared. “Forget it…”

Annie smiled. “You comin’ round tonight, then, Sam?” There was a pause, broken only by the humming radiator.

“If you want me to…”

Laughing, Annie twisted the telephone cord between her fingers, “What do you think?”

“Give me ten minutes,” said Sam, “Wait…”

Robin Hood

“I hate this circular cell, Gisbon,” growled The Sheriff, “Hood won’t feel trapped here, it’s warm, cosy!”

“Sheriff….”

The Sheriff wagged a finger. “Do you think I want to hear what you have to say?” He wrinkled his nose. “I’ll give you a clue, no….”

“My lady,” bowed Robin, “I hope you don’t mind, but I asked Much round to dine tonight…..”

Marian clasped his hand. “Much and food are made for one another…”

Robin laughed. “That is very true.”

“Hopefully I can steal some time with you afterwards….”

Harry Potter

“I’ll show you around the new house,” Luna said, fiddling with her radish earrings, “I hope you’re going to like it….”

Harry linked arms with Ginny. “Of course….”

Luna skipped into the entrance hall. “Ta da!”

Radishes were painted…..

Everywhere….

Merlin

“What shape is the sun, Merlin?” demanded Arthur, crossing his arms. “Round or square?”

Merlin frowned at him. “Is this a trick question?”

“No, I’m just checking your brain cells are functioning…..”

“I’m working for you,” interrupted Merlin, “I doubt it….”
